SUMMER IS HERE!!!
The Catskill Mountain Artisans Guild would like to thank our community for their continued support of our artists and the gallery during the wet spring months.
The Pakatakan Farmers Market opened on Saturday, May 16th for the 2009 summer season. For the 7th consecutive year, the Catskill Mountain Artisans Guild had its booth manned with smiling faces as shoppers entered the gate.
This year we have expanded our market space to accommodate over 20 of our artists. Varied arrays of crafts are displayed, and this year we will add artist demonstrations by gallery members, each and every Saturday, from 10 AM until 12. For a complete schedule, please click Calendar.
The Pakatakan Farmers Market is where this all began. Seven years ago, our guild started with five members, and has grown today to include more than fifty artists.
We would like to welcome our newest members and to extend an invitation to any regional artist who would like to learn more about the Catskill Mountain Artisans Guild, and how to apply to join our gallery.
"Art In Common"
The new “Art In Common” promotional series is still in the planning process and will hopefully resume later this summer and fall.
In today’s current economic environment we realize that this same funding may not be readily available, and we are seeking additional avenues to help support this exciting program. We will be pursuing other grant sources, soliciting corporate sponsorships, and accepting any outside suggestions or support! Contact us if you know anyone that would like to help.
